Drats; I was so looking forward to this one!
As Mr. Ejiofor says to Julia Roberts, "You look a million years old." Her character is nails-on-a-chalkboard, and she seems to think slouching, wearing zero make-up, baggy clothes, and pouting her upper lip out for 2 hours qualifies as acting. She was misdirected, and the schlocky writing doesn't help either.
You'll see the ending coming 90 minutes away, and be glad when it's over.
I suppose Chiwetel Ejiofor and Nicole Kidman are okay, but they're in a set-up that's untenable and suspenseless. This is no Presumed Innocent.
